Event Overview
In celebration of World Bee Day, and in partnership with UNDP Lebanon and the Jaj Cedars Forest Nature Reserve, the Ministry of Environment, represented by Dr. Tamara El Zein, organized an educational visit for school students to the heart of Jaj’s majestic cedar reserve.
The students had the opportunity to observe live beehives up close and engage in hands-on learning about sustainable beekeeping and bee-friendly practices that support environmental preservation.
Jaj Production Cooperative was proud to take part in this meaningful initiative—preparing and serving a delightful selection of homemade bites and refreshing natural drinks, all lovingly crafted by the talented women of Jaj.
This collaboration highlighted the importance of community, sustainability, and empowering local women through tradition and care.
